BUILDING BRIDGES ACROSS DIVERSITIES: Summer Sermon Series, Part 2 of 4.

UU congregations are made up of people holding a wide variety of religious beliefs. In fact, UUism draws from several different faith traditions and we affirm the acceptance and encouragement of diversity. We acknowledge that we need each other and our differences in our search for truth and meaning. Throughout our history we have been theologically diverse, and that diversity is increasing. We can respect and honor our differences by talking about beliefs, learning from one another, and stimulating everyone’s thinking through open and honest sharing of views.

The Rev. Melanie Morel-Ensminger is a minister at First Unitarian Universalist Church of New Orleans. She believes in intersectionality, is a music lover, and is a proud mother and grandmother.
