Community Donation Has Started Strong

We collect hygiene items and non-perishable food items for distribution to the housing and food insecure. To contribute to this program: From Adam Wedeking, our Social & Environmental Justice Chair:

Our first outreach day went very well. We gave away 27 gift bags along with additional items helping individuals specific needs. We had an opportunity to connect with several people forming an impromptu discussion group.

We will be continuing to set up an outreach table alongside St Francis De Sales bag lunch program right out front of our own beloved church on Thursdays at 10:30 AM.

In our discussion, one specific need was pretty unanimous: nail care kits. Specifically, the kind that has clippers along with a scrub brush to clean under the fingernails were requested. We need about 25 kits so if you’re able to donate a couple, please bring them to the Church or contact Adam Wedeking.

Other needed items specifically requested include wipes, single-use laundry packages (to wash clothing in a sink), water flavor packets, and pre-stamped envelopes.

Items that are always requested: common hygiene products like wipes, deodorant, toothbrush with a cover, smaller toothpaste, Band-Aids, shaving cream, combs, brushes, small shampoo and conditioner, sunscreen and clear bags to pack the items in.

Please drop items off at the church office Tuesday through Friday from 12 to 2 PM, or email us and we can set up a time to meet you! We also welcome your assistance on Thursdays at 10:30 AM to help hand out kits.
