Nicole Dumaguindin is a Community Theatre Artist of Tagalog, Kapampangan, and Ibanag ancestry. Her experience includes dramaturgy, directing, playwriting, and workshop facilitation. Themes she often works with are social justice, sustainability, race, trauma-informed storytelling, mythology & folklore. She is also the co-founder of “Solstice Theatre IE”, a QBIPOC community shadow puppet theatre. She has been practicing her art since 2010, when she completed her first production as a dramaturg in UCR’s “Metamorphoses”. She practices mostly outside of formal institutions and “main stages” in order to center community voices that experience barriers to theatrical forms of storytelling.
