In John 14:27, Jesus tells us, “The peace I give you is not the peace the world gives.” In these troubled and tumultuous times, where can we find true peace? How can we individually and collectively cultivate peace?
Monrow A. Mabon was raised in Compton, CA. After H.S. graduation, he enlisted in the U.S Army and 3 years later received an Honorable Discharge as a Disabled Combat Veteran. Nevertheless, he went on to have careers as a Bus Driver, Police Officer, State Attorney and Church Pastor. Monroe’s educational background includes degrees in: Education, Political Science, a Master’s in public administration, fellowship Program at USC, and graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA. Monroe then earned a Juris Doctor Degree from Glendale Univ. College of Law.
Although he enjoys a comfortable life from City, State and Federal retirements, Rev. Mabon serves on the Boards of multiple philanthropic organizations. He is also a Riverside City Commissioner, a member of the Riverside 2019-2020 Charter Review Committee, and Associate Pastor at Allen Chapel Church, Riverside.
