Our theme for December is “Igniting the Inner Chalice.” December 10 is International Human Rights Day. As we pause to look at where we are now and where we’ve come from, it is easy to get discouraged with how far we are from our ideal world. In the “messy middle” the question, “what do we do now,” often arises as we seek to bridge the gap between where we are and where we want to be. I will share what I have learned about how courage and imagination are the keys to moving forward and bringing us closer to fully realizing the “inherent worth and dignity of every person” that forms the basis of our faith.
