Most of us are familiar with the Christmas story; but in the true tradition of UUism, Rev. David A. Miller presents a new perspective in which to contemplate the birth of Christ and the lessons that we can learn from it today. “Metanoia” comes from the Greek words “meta” which means “beyond” and “noia” which means “mind.” It can be translated as “transformation of thought.” We invite you to go beyond the traditional context of this Nativity story and reconsider its meaning in our lives.
Rev. David A. Miller is the Senior Minister at the UU Congregation of Fairfax, VA. He was raised Jewish in the Skokie/Evanston area just north of Chicago. He has a B.S. degree in political science from the University of Utah and received his master of divinity degree from the Claremont School of Theology in 2008 with an emphasis in social transformation. Before he was called to the ministry, David spent more than 25 years in executive management, strategic planning, marketing, business development and fundraising with private sector and non-profit organizations.
