What is emotional intelligence and what part does it play in our relationships, our work, and our it play in our relationships, our work, and our worship? Emotional intelligence plays a key role in understanding ourselves and the people around us. In a society of social creatures, any work we do, whether for the benefit of ourselves or others, only functions if it can be understood on an emotional level. Our second principle calls for “compassion in our human relations,” but where else does emotional intelligence play a part?  How does emotional intelligence affect our ability to affirm spiritual growth, or to connect to the web of life?  This panel assembles members and friends of UUCR with different perspectives on emotional intelligence, and explores the lived experiences of our congregation.
