“Earth Teaches Us Resurrection,” by The Rev. Kimberley Debus

What do Easter and Earth Day have in common? This past Easter, we reflected on the miracle of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. Resurrection is about the surging and resurging power of life. Earth teaches us that resurrection is not only possible, but that it’s happening all around us. New life returns and continues to sustain the interdependent web of life on this planet, and we must strive to respect and honor it.

The Rev. Kimberley Debus is a community minister based in Takoma Park, Maryland, inspiring an artful and art-filled faith. She consults with congregations and religious professionals throughout the denomination. She is joyfully affiliated with the Unitarian Church of Lincoln, Nebraska, and has previously served at the Church of the Larger Fellowship as well as congregations on Long Island and Key West.
