Countless philosophers and scientists have attempted to prove the existence of their version of the Divine over the many years of human existence with mixed success. Humanity, despite at times witnessing miracles, receiving visions, and testing theories through various works, as a collective still yearns for a certainty that is historically (per most religious texts) afforded to only a few chosen. Today’s sermon explores some of these ideas, both ancient and modern, and what it means to seek and find God within the context of a human life

Mairi Moores has been an official member of the Universalist Unitarian Church in Riverside since May 2025, though she has been aware of the UU faith for many years. She is a long time resident of the Inland Empire and has been a member of the community for most of her life. When she is not working, she enjoys helping others, spending time with loved ones, time in nature, learning, growing, and “goofing off”.
